What is Lapsang Souchong ?

The origin of English Breakfast tea — once cherished by the royal family and now beloved worldwide. Our version returns to its authentic roots: no artificial flavors, no cream, no sugar. Just the natural sweetness born from the leaves themselves — smooth, rich, and timeless.

Why it Stands Out?

Just like wine or coffee, where it’s born — and how it’s made — defines its character.

1
Fresh from Wuyishan — Yes, the Real One.

Fresh from Wuyishan — Yes, the Real One.

Nestled in the mountains of Fujian, Wuyishan is where the world’s first black tea and finest oolong were born, shaped by mineral-rich soil and timeless artistry.

Loose Leaves, the Way Authentic Tea Was Meant to Be

Loose Leaves, the Way Authentic Tea Was Meant to Be

While most black teas in history were cut for convenience, true loose leaves retain their integrity — holding the aroma, depth, and sweetness within each twist.

Masterfully Baked to Perfection

Masterfully Baked to Perfection

Our tea masters slow-bake the leaves over gentle heat to bring out their layered fragrance — a subtle smokiness, soft wood notes, and a deep, mellow body.

Brewing Guide

This isn’t your typical brewing guide — it’s how real tea masters do it.

Water temperature 195-205°F (90-96°C)
Water volume 200ml (6.76 oz)
Tea amount 5g (1 tsp)
Steep time Steep for 5-7 seconds on the first infusion to awaken the leaves. Your real first sip starts with the second infusion (around 10 seconds), then add 10–15 seconds for each that follows.
Infusion time 5-7 infusions
Recommended teaware Gaiwan or teapot
Water type Use purified or filtered water for the best flavor
Flavor profile Smooth, malty, with hints of caramel and a subtle smokiness
Pro Tips

Rinse the tea leaves with hot water for 5-7 seconds before the first steep to awaken the flavors. Each subsequent infusion can be slightly longer than the previous one.

Great value

Quality leaves, no doubt, but still a touch too smoky for me. If you love bold flavors, you’ll adore it. I’ll probably blend it with a sweeter black next time.

Perfect!

I’m not a regular ‘smoky-tea’ drinker but this one from Jinrui blew me away. First sip from the second infusion hit me with a smooth malt backbone, then that whisper of wood-smoke and rich caramel sweetness carried through. I followed the brewing guide (200 ml water, about 6.8 oz, purified water, 5 g leaves) and the result felt refined, not overdone. Serious quality.

My favorite black tea so far

Hands down my favorite black tea so far. Smooth, aromatic, and satisfying without bitterness. You can taste that it’s crafted with care — a tea that makes you slow down.

That’s the Tea You Need When It Rains

There’s something about a rainy afternoon and a cup of this Lapsang Souchong that just fits perfectly. The aroma is soft and smoky, like a fireplace crackling somewhere nearby.
